My wife’s Indian name is Crazy Talk which makes me Man Who Loves Crazy Talk.
I’ve written ten books and one is currently published, The Red Fire Fly (Summit House Press). It’s the story of two guys, a girl, a briefcase full of money, a salad spinner, a time machine and a small red fly. You know, “That old story.”
My next book, Eternal Patrol (Otherworlds Publications), is scheduled to hit the market in November 2011. This one is pretty cool. Ever since the Navy launched its first submarine it has kept a log of their location. It’s either in port or on patrol. If the sub fails to come back and its fate is unknown, it is officially listed as “On Eternal Patrol.” My book asks the question: What if 70 years later one of those subs came back?
For this book I researched every aspect of submarines and their operations. I found two subs still listed as “On Eternal Patrol” that disappeared under mysterious circumstances. These two boats and the events surrounding their disappearance are the backbone of this thriller adventure with a time travel twist and some espionage thrown in for fun.
I live in Colorado where on weekends you will find me rock climbing, or kayaking, or backpacking, or snowshoeing, or hiking, but most likely you will find me running a trail somewhere. I run between 20 and 40 miles a week and I do it all barefoot. Yep, I’m one of those insane barefoot runners. To make it even worse, I’m a Hasher (Hash House Harriers, Google it). I have also decided to take on the challenge of saving the world one beer at a time.
Check out my other blogs and you will get a good idea of what makes me tick.
